6’6” Sophomore Rechon Black (UNC Commit)
Concord High School
Since his showing in last year’s NC Top 80, Black has become a hot commodity receiving multiple ACC offers, being ranked as one of the Top 25 players in the country by ESPN, and committing to North Carolina. While productive, everything you like about Black is his upside. As a true point guard, standing 6’6” with a 6’10” wing span, Black makes the game easy. Not overly explosive, not overly flashy, Black plays the game with great poise creating easy plays for everyone around him.
6’5” Freshman Wendell Moore
Cox Mill High School
Moore entered high school with lofty expectations. All he did for the entire season was exceed those expectations. Rated as a consensus Top 15 player in the country, Moore averaged 17 points (51% FG), 8.5 boards and 3.2 assists per game. He already carries offers from the likes of UNC, Tennessee, Wake Forest, NC State, Georgia, Charlotte, and others.
6’7” Junior JP Moorman
Greensboro Day School
Moorman experienced quite the breakthrough season this year. Moving from and great role player into a consensus Top 150 player with offers from Virginia Tech, Richmond, UCF, and others. Moorman, who started for Greensboro Day in the Dick’s National Championship tournament as a sophomore, is a unique player with the size and explosion of the power forward, but the skill set of a guard. As he becomes more and more used to being the man, expect his stock only to rise.
6’3” Junior Lavar Batts
JM Robinson High School
Few, if any, in the country are faster with the ball in their hands than Lavar Batts. Armed with a long 6’3” frame and jet fast speed, Batts looks like he has been shot from a cannon in transition. Ranked among the national Top 100 juniors, carries offers from the likes of Georgia, Tennessee, East Carolina, Charlotte, NC State, VCU, and others.
6’3” Junior Blake Harris
Word of God
Harris has been a name on the rise since his performance at the NC Phenom 150 camp heading into his sophomore year. Harris is the son of 10 year NFL pro (and Super Bowl Champion) Bernardo Harris. Blake is a Top 100 prospect with offers from Seton Hall, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Florida St, and others.
6’1” Sophomore Devon Dotson
Providence Day
Dotson’s name started circulating as he was the point guard for the Under Armour Finals winning Team Charlotte. That name started gaining traction as an elite level prospect after his performance in the Phenom National Showcase. After a state championship run with against one of the region’s toughest schedules, Dotson is now considered one of the top 25 players in the country with offers from NC State, Florida, Clemson, UNC, Tennessee, and others.
