Length…Motor…Production…Players with these traits are usually all over college radars. However, prior to our viewing of Brown last week, only Barton College was really involved with him.
As more schools became aware of his talent, Brown’s recruitment was quick to pick up over the last week. So far this year, Beddingfield High School’s 6’6” unsigned senior Miguel Brown is averaging 18 points, 13 boards, 3 blocks, and 3 assists per game. In fact, in the past three (3) weeks Brown has had multiple 20 point and 20 rebound games.
Along with Brown’s production on the basketball court, he is also a great athlete across multiple courts and fields. He is a three (3) sport letter winner for his high school. Brown has been a pitcher on the varsity baseball team as well as a college recruited wide receiver on the football team.
In the last week, Brown has visited Fayetteville State, and schools like Chowan, West Virginia Wesleyan, Virginia State, and Newberry College have inquired. As more programs hear of, and are able to watch, Brown we expect his recruitment to continue to trend in this way.
Brown is also a good student and a yes sir/no sir type of kid. All in all, there is a lot to like with the highly productive forward.
