Basketball Achievement: Recorded a triple double with 11 points, 11 blocks, and 15 rebounds in a Dec 1, 2015 game against Williamsburg Christian…Has a single game highs of 17 rebounds and 11 blocked shots!

HS Coach Evaluation: EJ Hinton is a great player and has plenty of upside. He is amazing on the defensive end. Has a nice midrange and can step out and hit the 3 as well. At the high school level I have no problem with him guarding 1-5. He is getting looks from D3 schools but I believe with a little work on his handle he can play high level D2… Mid major D1. – Coach Joshua Russell, Head Coach Portsmouth Christian School. Coach Frank says: EJ Hinton is a workhorse and a consistent impact presence on both ends of the floor. Offensively he is a very good shooter to three point range and has a disciplined middle game. An inside/outside scoring threat EJ pounds the glass on both ends, is an excellent finisher able to absorb contact. He has a strong upper body, excellent athleticism and bounce and is a relentless rebounder. Defensively he can match physicality inside with anyone in the conference but also has the quickness and footwork to defend either wing on the perimeter as well. He is an exceptional shot blocker who establishes good defensive position in the post but also completes plays. As his handle improves we expect EJ to be an impact wing as he has all the tools otherwise allowing him to become a more attractive prospect potentially at the LM level.
