6’3 Austin Dasent graduated from Myers Park in 2014. He was one of the better guards in the state and was an impact player in the Charlotte metropolitan area. Coming out of high school, he had several D1 offers, but had to take the Juco route in his collegiate career.
Austin will graduate from Midland College this May and will have two years of eligibility left. This past season, Austin averaged 5 PPG and 2 APG. He shot 38% from the 3-point line and 75% from the free throw line. Austin is a strong and reliable guard that puts team first and will do all the intangibles that often don’t show up in the score sheets or box score.
All Austin is wanting is a chance to pursue his lifetime dreams of playing college basketball and getting a degree. We have watched Austin in high school since 2012 and would be a quality recruit for schools at the D2 and D1 level. He’s a tough young man that has battled adversity throughout his high school and Juco career. Coaches that wish to contact him can email him at austindasent@gmail.com
