AAU Coach Evaluation: Dejon’s court name is “Freak”! He’s is our most athletic player, plays the game with love and passion. He leaves it all on the court game after game making big plays for the Marvels. He maintains A’s and B’s in the classroom with our busy traveling schedule for NYBL. His name will ring bells real soon! – Coach Hakeem Zarif, Head Coach Boo Williams Marvels

Coach Frank says: Dejon has an advanced combination of skill and athleticism which is a reason he has been dominant at the middle school level and in his age group in AAU. He is lanky, strong and very athletic with great quickness and bounce. Dejon does it all at this level, hit the jumper, attack the basket with the dribble, rebound and defend. He plays with great energy and confidence. What stands out is his versatility and the level at which he competes in so many areas. The skill set he has and his ability to execute will translate to success at the high school level as he is already being eyed as a player who will be a 4 year varsity contributor. His strengths are his ability to score with the jumper and slicing to the basket where he uses very good ball handling skills, quickness and his wiry frame to beat his defender and get to the basket and finish. He defends the perimeter exceptionally well and is a very good rebounder who doesn’t mind the physical battles around the basket. Dejon is definitely a 2021 worth following as all indications point to a bright basketball future.
