To say Houston Baptist is making North Carolina a prime recruiting territory would be a gross understatement. With the commitment of 6’2 Myles Pierre, Houston Baptist will now have SIX players on their roster from the state of North Carolina. Pierre will join Ian DuBose, Phillip McKenzie, Qon Murphy, Oliver Lynch-Daniels and Benjamin Uloko.

Pierre is a strong and athletic guard that may be one of the best two-way players in the state. The long armed Pierre is a fierce defender and can lock you up on defense. In addition, Pierre can score from all three levels. He’s an effective scorer but impressed us with his “team first” approach to the game. He was instrumental in Carmel Christian’s title run with the NCISAA 2A championship.

While Pierre is an outstanding basketball player, we have also been impressed with maturity and poise on and off the court. He’s such a humble young man and understands the big picture. Team success equals individual success and with Myles Pierre, he has always been about team. Yes, Houston Baptist did it again and look for Pierre to be an impact player from day one.
