Proceeds and donations from this event will be made to the Stay Positive Foundation. However, it goes much deeper than that.' A coach will impact more young people in a year than the average person in a lifetime. Coaches at all levels are ROLE MODELS and yes you are a role model for your team. Your words matter, your actions matter, we look to each other for inspiration. So being a role model isn't optional. Therefore, I pray and encourage that every coach reading this email will take this message to heart. We all love to win, it's the competitive spirit that's in our DNA. I get it. We get caught up in the moment, games become intense, and sometimes we lose our cool. However, remember it's just a game and the purpose is about competing and giving your team, your players a platform to be seen. Nothing more, nothing less. That being said, I have watched from a distance the abusive language toward officials. Last, as coaches, we need to be careful of our language toward officials, players, and opposing teams and coaches. Lead by example, be dedicated and determined, teach teamwork, motivate, and most of all build character among your players. Let's use this event to truly GIVE GOD GLORY.
