Player: Joe Rhyne
Height: 6’3
School: Gaston Christian
AAU: CP3 2024

College programs are always looking for shooters, and one player in the state of North Carolina that certainly would help fit that role is 2024 6’3 Joe Rhyne from Gaston Christian.  Rhyne is coming off an impressive junior campaign, as he played in 31 games, averaged 13.2ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.3apg, and 1.3 spg, all while shooting 45 percent from the floor and hitting 110 3-pointers this past season.

And when you watch him with CP3 this summer, Rhyne continues to understand his role and looks to provide that game-changer on the court. When you watch him, Rhyne does a great job in getting to his spots and always being ready for his shot. He understands that he can be a game-changer from outside and really open up a defense when he is connecting from behind the arc. He has tremendous range in his shot, but also plays with a strong IQ and feel, showing the ability to also make plays off the dribble when he needs to. Rhyne is one that should be in for a strong summer, as he really hopes to display his impact in a big way on the big stage with CP3.

What Has Been Said:

“Rhyne continues to be a player that grabs our attention, as he can be regarded as one of the top shooters from deep in the state of North Carolina. Rhyne is a smart guard that shows the ability to make tough plays off the dribble but can be a game-changer when he is able to get to his spots and knock down shots with terrific range. He did just that throughout the event, as he can certainly light it up and be a 3-point specialist for a college program at the next level.”

“To put it as easy as possible, Rhyne can be an absolute sniper on the floor and has the full green light to let it go when he is on the court.  He has really good size for his age, has only gotten bigger and stronger, while also developing his IQ and feel for the game.  Rhyne has a smooth, confident release from all over the floor, but is also quick on his feet, moves well as a defender, and has a natural feel for the game.”
