Isaiah Mucius is a consensus top forty player in the 2018 class nationally. The extremely long and bouncy forward is best described as being a long-term prospect with a tremendous upside. In his team's 63-54 win over Union City HS/Tennessee at the Phenom Joe Miller Invitational, Mucius showcased that potential with a double double of 13 points and 11 rebounds.

In speaking with Mucius, he holds over ten offers including the likes of Rutgers, who was in attendance today, along with Oregon, Wake Forest, Xavier, Minnesota, UMass, St. Louis, St. John, Penn State, and Virginia Tech. In addition, he is hearing from Villanova, Georgia Tech, Butler, UConn, Virginia, and Notre Dame.

While Mucius is one of the more talented players for his position in his class, he is also getting it done in the classroom. He sports a solid 3.0 GPA and the well-spoken Mucius knows he has work to expand his overall skill set. While Mucius is at his best attacking the rim, he has developed a consistent mid-range jumper. The next step in his growth is expanding his perimeter game by hitting 3-pointers with more regularity.

Mucius stated he didn't have any favorite schools at the current time and just enjoys watching the power schools play. He did indicate he would like to play in a fast pace system, which allows him to use his athleticism and length where he is able to play and guard multiple positions. At the Phenom Joe Miller Invitational, Isaiah Mucius showcased a sample size of his potential and we certainly liked what we saw. His upside may be sooner rather than later.
