Year after year, some players could be considered “late bloomers” or for college programs to catch on late. A player who could fit that description is 2026 6’8 “Ryan Brzezanski from Broad Run High School. The Virginia wing is coming off an impressive junior season in which he averaged 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists, while shooting 35 percent from three and 52 percent from the floor. He also suited up for Team Melo EYNL this summer, where he was able to showcase more of his offensive arsenal.
As an All-State player this past year, he has a chance to solidify his recruitment and stock rise with another strong upcoming season. More eyes look to come his way, as Phenom Hoops recently caught up with the 6’8 wing on all the latest.
Offseason Focus and Work:
“It’s been pretty good, just been working out a lot and lifting. My main goal has been to put on weight, so I’ve been focused on that but on the court, I’d say just adding more stuff to my game, like in the mid-post or becoming more fluent as a guard.”
Game Description:
“I’d say I’m a very versatile player who can play facing the basket or back to the basket. I like to impact the game with my energy and effort.”
Receiving First D1 Offer:
Brzezanksi recently announced this week that he had earned his first D1 offer from Mount St. Mary’s, one that he is really excited about.
“It was great,” Brzezanski told Phenom Hoops. “They were just really high on me and sounded pretty excited, so all around it was good.” The 6’8 wing prospect will be looking to learn more about the program, as he is in the process of setting up a visit. But the rising unsigned senior could be adding more offers to his list this upcoming season, as he mentioned that Mercyhurst, UMBC, and Stonehill will all be by his workouts soon, so he hopes to impress and add more offers to his list.
