We continue looking at teams around the state of North Carolina, giving an early preview of what the rosters may look like this season. Lady Phenom now checks in on South View, as the Tigers are coming off a 14-10 season in which they went 10-5 in conference play and averaged 57 points per game. They return some very good firepower from last year, as the Tigers are hoping to make some more noise this season.
2023 Nevaeh Colon is back once again to lead the way for South View, coming off a season in which she averaged 17.2ppg, 3.7apg, 4.0rpg, and 2.1spg. She understands how to score the ball effectively and is an explosive guard that can score from all three levels. Then you have 2023 Katelynn Swain, another senior captain for this team. She has been playing varsity for three years and is a 4-sport athlete. She will be counted on to help lead the charge and be that veteran presence.
2023 Jasmine Scriven brings shot-making ability and range from behind the arc. 2024 Nehmiah Aekins is a forward that can be a threat offensively from all three levels, as well as help bring a presence on the boards. 2025 Makyla Drain got some experience last year as a freshman and looks to elevate her level of play even more, showing more of her range and upside with her game.
2025 Zakiera Gaillard should also be another name to watch out for as she brings good athleticism to the court and 2024 Jayla Blue will be back on the floor after her season was cut short last year. Blue brings size at 6’3 to the table and her length should really help.
