The Phenom Winter Nationals is a great opportunity for our scouts to check out some of the young and rising talent around the region, and this past weekend brought just that. We look to highlight players that captured our eyes, and one young prospect was certainly the talk when watching her play.
2031 Selena Siler from Carolina Magic quickly captured our eyes with her play, as she has a chance to be a very talented up-and-coming player. Siler is one who played with a ton of confidence with her ability to score and be a playmaker on the court. She excelled in being confident from distance, knocking down multiple threes and scoring consistently with her jumper. But overall, she brings such a strong versatile scoring presence to the floor, understanding to attack and make plays with what the defense is giving her. Siler was a strong game manager, reading the defense and running the offense well, finding teammates well, making good reads, and competing on both sides of the ball. With what we saw at the event, she has a lot of promise for the future, as she will be a prospect worth monitoring.
