Player: Aubree Robinson
Class: 2031
AAU: Charlotte Dream Elite
The Phenom Winter Nationals is a great opportunity for our scouts to check out some of the young and rising talent around the region, and this past weekend brought just that. We look to highlight players that captured our eyes, and one young prospect was certainly the talk when watching her play.
2031 Aubree Robinson has a chance to be something special in the coming years, as the seventh grader brings a lot of factors in her game early on but also has a ton of upside. From watching a while back to now this past weekend, her development can’t be denied, and she clearly showcases upside with her game. Robinson has great size at 6’0 already, and she understands early on her ability to operate in the paint. Displaying good footwork, the ability to operate around defenders around the basket, and her impact not only on the glass but as a paint protector, should have her on several radars down the road.
There is plenty of room through in being able to finish more often and build on her strength as a big, but it was pretty evident that she has the early tools for success down the road. All throughout the event, Robinson was a force around the basket, and we are eager to see how she continues to develop as a prospect.
