The Phenom Winter Nationals is a great opportunity for our scouts to check out some of the young and rising talent around the region, and this past weekend brought just that. We look to highlight players that captured our eyes, and one young prospect was certainly the talk when watching her play.
Craig continues to show why she is one of the more impressive young guards in the area, putting together a performance that highlighted both her present production and long-term upside. What stands out immediately is her overall feel for the game. She plays with pace, understanding when to attack, when to facilitate, and how to keep the defense off balance.
Offensively, Craig’s handle is a major weapon. She navigates through traffic with confidence, keeps defenders on her hip, and has the ability to create space off the bounce. Whether using hesitation moves, change-of-direction dribbles, or quick bursts, she consistently breaks down defenders. Her shot looks smooth and repeatable, allowing her to be a threat from the perimeter and forcing defenders to respect her scoring ability.
Beyond just scoring, Craig embraces the role of playmaker. She sees the floor well for a young guard and delivers passes in rhythm, setting up teammates for clean looks. Her ability to create for herself and others makes her difficult to scheme against, as she can shift from scorer to facilitator seamlessly.
Perhaps most impressive is her motor. Craig plays with energy on both ends, competing hard, staying engaged, and impacting the game beyond the box score. Her competitiveness and activity level elevate her overall presence on the court.
Overall, Craig is an impressive young prospect whose blend of skill, feel, and motor makes her a name worth continuing to monitor closely.
