Lady Phenom went out to Raleigh over the weekend to check out the Deep South Classic, as teams from all over came to compete and we got a great chance to learn new talent. Here, we will dive into players that we saw and impressed at the event.
At the event, we had a great chance to watch some talent down in Florida and a young prospect that quickly grabbed our attention was 2027 Summer Stone for the Florida All-Stars. When watching her on the court, Stone played with tremendous poise and pace, understanding how to run the show, picking her spots and showing patience, reading the defense and attacking the open spots, but also making good decisions in finding her teammate. The righty did an excellent job in allowing the play to develop and attacking downhill off the dribble, scoring well around opponents and with touch. Stone has a great feel for a player her age, and simply knows how to make everyone better around her, but also be a true playmaker and creator for herself.
She is one that I believe should garner more attention down the road and could be a sneaky prospect to watch develop down in the state of Florida.
