Looking at players around the state of North Carolina that should be targets for college programs, we now look at 2027 Ally Smith from North Lincoln and Lady Attack. Smith is an intriguing prospect with her ability to score and impact the game in a variety of ways. Coming off a season in which she helped lead her team to a 29-2 record, Smith is one that has been able to produce as a scorer but also is high IQ player on the court. She does a great job in mixing it up offensively, scoring off the bounce, attacking and getting downhill, finishing with touch, but also showing her ability to knock down shots from outside. She finished shooting over 40 percent from behind the arc this past season.
Smith has proven that she can be an impact player both offensively and defensively, being active and engaged to create turnovers, being a playmaker offensively for her teammates, and just making quality plays all over the court. She should be a key piece this summer for her team and one that college coaches need to look at more. Check out highlights from this past season below.
What Was Said:
“Smith was a natural leader on the court; I was really impressed with her composure, and her ability to lead the offense, she found ways to attack and create well, while also creating extra opportunities off the boards. She stepped up big for her team, especially in the second half vs. Hickory Ridge to help lead her team to a victory.”
