As the high school season approaches the halfway point, everyone should have a much clearer picture of contending teams, breakout players, and everything in between. Although there hasn’t been a ton of parity this year, it’s arguably been one of the most interesting and entertaining seasons in recent memory. Every contest seems to have some takeaway or subplot to monitor. The Overtime League has two North Carolina teams (Combine Academy and Moravian Prep), and both squads have found success over the years. However, it feels like not enough people are talking about the impressive production from K’Majay Jenkins. Let’s take a closer look…

At 6-foot-6, Jenkins is an absolute wrecking ball on the court. His length, physicality, and explosive athleticism make him a problem for opponents on both ends of the floor. He displays nonstop energy and a terrific nose for the ball. Jenkins is capable of switching across multiple positions defensively and containing his assignment. Due to his instincts and athleticism, he possesses the uncommon ability to accumulate both steals and blocks at a high level. Although his defensive flexibility is one of his most valuable traits, Jenkins is also a phenomenal rebounder for his size and position. Add in his ability to operate in various roles and positions offensively, and it’s easy to see the value he brings to a team.

Right now, he’s averaging 10.2 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 1.6 SPG, and 1.0 BPG while shooting 47% from the floor. Jenkins leads the Overtime League in rebounds while ranking inside the top 13 of steals and blocks. Alongside two guys averaging over 25 PPG, he’s more than maximized his minutes for this group. After recently deciding to reclassify to the Class of 2028, it’s easy to see Jenkins continuing to trend up as one of the top players in the region.
