Sacha Killeya-Jones has been a hot name ever since decommitting from Virginia earlier this year.
The Virginia power forward has seen his recruitment really take off with some of the elite programs coming his way with offers recently and the battle will begin to land an elite prospect for the 2016 class.
In the past week, Killeya-Jones has received offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, and NC State, with his latest coming from the two NC rivals.
Phenom Hoops Report was able to reach out to the talented forward before he made his way to the NBA Top 100 camp in Charlottesville this weekend, as he will test himself against some of the best talent in the country.
Here is what he had to say about each offer from the Tar Heels and Wolfpack.
“It is a great honor to get an offer from not only my hometown team but also from an hall of fame coach like Coach Roy Williams,” Killeya-Jones said. As for NC State, he said “I think it’s a great program. I got to visit early last season and enjoyed the game a lot (at PNC Arena).”
The two North Carolina schools have been on him for quite some time now, but recently have offered the forward, who is a native to North Carolina (he is from Chapel Hill).
It has been a little over a year since Killeya-Jones received his first offer and times certainly have changed for this young man.
This big man from Virginia Episcopal high school will continue to be a hot commodity for programs down the road. Phenom Hoops will provide chances to catch him in action this July during the live period in Greensboro.
