With the amount of coverage and national media outlets covering travel basketball this summer, there are plenty of prospects that you have already heard about and are well-known in the Class of 2025 and Class of 2026.  This is why we are starting our trend and diving more into finding some of the rising talent in the Class of 2027 and 2028; finding the upcoming talent in the coming years that you will be hearing more about.

Phenom Hoops recently took in watching SOH Elite 15u, a program that has had a strong summer so far and there were a few players that grabbed our attention. One guard that really impressed though and had a few wow moments was 2027 5’10 Khanye Moss. Moss has been putting up strong numbers this summer in leading the charge, averaging nearly 17 points per game, shooting 42 percent from the floor, and finding ways to excel in an array of ways on the court for his team. The young guard quickly grabbed our attention, as he consistently showed that he could be a scoring force with speed and dynamic athleticism on the floor. Moss quickly earned our attention with his speed and quickness, blowing by defenders with ease, covering a ton of ground for his size, and really flourishing in showing his athleticism to finish at the rim and over defenders. But just when you think you have him controlled, he can hurt you from outside as well, shooting 35 percent from behind the arc for SOH Elite this summer. He is a competitive and dynamic athlete for his size, showing his competitive nature on the boards, using his speed to get in the passing lanes, and creating opportunities for himself or for others. With his blend of speed and quickness in getting his shot off, Moss would be one that I would keep my eye on down in Florida.

Diving more into his season, Moss was able to be a strong contributor for Mater Lakes Academy which is coming off a 21-9 season before falling to North Broward Prep. He played in 29 games and averaged 6.8 points per game, but those numbers could quickly jump with what he has shown with SOH Elite.  He certainly has earned our attention as one to watch more.
