It is the start of the month of June and Phenom Hoops is INCREDIBLY excited about putting on the JMAC Showcase this weekend! High-level teams will be coming to the Fort Mill area, looking to compete and gear themselves up for a big few upcoming months.

So, lets start looking at a few teams and players to watch for this weekend. Here are a few names to look out for.

Team: Team Synergy 2020 & Team Synergy 2021

Let first talk about the 2020 group. This is a team that wins by committee. Everyone plays a part. Great ball and player movement as well as execution. The start of our Engine is our 5'9 spark plug. Kalib Baker is an athletic, strong guard with great quickness and a pit bull determination scores about 17pts and 7ast a gm and at 5'9 finishes at the rim extremely well. Set the tempo on defense as well. Has been listed on several all-tournament teams this early travel season. 6'5 Davidson Hubbard has been a walking double/double. His long reach allows him to play bigger then his size and his leaping ability tend to surprise people. It isn't uncommon for Davidson to finish with 26pts and 14 rebs. Davidson has also been named to several all-tournament teams so far this season. 6'3 Anthony Testa is a threat from 3 once he passes half court. What makes him so special is that he is constantly moving without the ball making it very difficult to cover him. Not uncommon for Anthony to have 5 (3's) in a game. 6'2 Seth Smith is sneaky athletic. He will surprise you with an amazing Dunk. Very difficult to cover him in the open court attacks the rim with acrobatic finishes and plays great defense. 6'5 Osa Idehen is tough as nails and plays with such strength. Pulls down strong traffic rebounds and has a determination to grab those 50/50 balls, but what's even more impressive is that he will stretch a defense because he has a nice touch from 3. As I mentioned earlier we are a team that wins by committee.
