Every year, North Carolina reaffirms itself as a hotbed for talent and underrated prospects, and the current senior class is no different. There are a slew of unsigned seniors that deserve an uptick in their recruitment. Over the next few months, these articles will take a closer look at some of the most under-appreciated guys across the Hoopstate. Today, we highlight Jajuan Carr, arguably the most underrated player across North Carolina.

Some players just don’t get carried away with all the theatrics and constantly being in the spotlight. Carr fits that description extremely well, never wavering from his incredibly calm, business-like demeanor. He embodies every characteristic that one should want from a point guard and overall leader. Anyone who has seen him perform over the last few years should already understand, but the kid is simply built different. Carr is quite possibly the smartest and best true floor general in North Carolina. He has an all-around game with the ability to touch the paint and make plays whenever he desires. Carr possesses terrific vision, quality ball-handling, and three-level scoring prowess. He has no real weaknesses, which is what makes his recruitment so perplexing.

The tough, two-way floor general has a game that belongs at the Division I level, as he simply knows how to make everyone better. However, Carr is also an extremely gifted and efficient scorer. He’s shown that over the past few weeks, never dipping below twenty points in any single contest and notching thirty/forty-plus on multiple different occasions. Carr has officially reached a point in his recruitment where Division II programs believe that they can steal him and take advantage of his under-the-radar status. It would be a disappointment and massive letdown if he doesn’t go to the appropriate level. The Division II level is full of special players, but Carr has proven himself in every possible way. There’s really nothing more he can do except convince college coaches of his worth.
