When you look at the 6A Class here in North Carolina, a few teams immediately stand out to you. Ben L. Smith is one of them, as they have proven themselves once again to be the title favorites, playing an extremely tough schedule but also having the talent to back it up. Many would have them on top as the favorites in this class. But teams like Charlotte Catholic and Northern Nash have proven they can compete with the best as well, racking up impressive wins this season. Catholic has talent as well with Jack Siegel and Mack Jordan, along with others, while Northern Nash looks to be a rising program out east led by freshman Quantay James.
Outside of those programs, schools like JH Rose, EE Smith, Mount Tabor, Seventy-First, and Freedom are all right in the mix of it, all of which could put a run together and make it to the title game. White Oak is another team that could be right in the mix as they have a strong nucleus as well that could put it all together and have been having a strong season as well. Again, Smith would be the team many would be looking at to claim another title but outside of that, there are so many other teams that have a chance to make a run at it all, making this a very interesting race when it comes to the playoffs.
