Burlington Christian Academy is set to bring back a strong core of talent this season, and the pieces are in place for this program to make some real noise in North Carolina. With proven leaders like 2028 Jack Baker and 2027 Manny Vanhook returning to anchor the roster, alongside a promising group of newcomers ready to make their mark, this team boasts a nice blend of experience and upside. If everything comes together, Burlington Christian could be looking at one of its strongest, most balanced seasons yet.
Key Returners this Season:
This will be a group that has plenty of firepower coming back from last year that could easily make some noise in North Carolina again. As far as players coming back, you have to look at 2028 Jack Baker and 2027 Manny Vanhook, as these two will be counted on to lead the charge once again. Baker, a 6’4 prospect that holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky, should easily be one of the leading scoring options with his ability to knock down shots and impact the game in a variety of ways. Vanhook is another player that has shown some strong flashes in his game in the past. A 6’2 long prospect that brings a strong two-way presence, can create and be a playmaker for others, and also provide a consistent scoring presence, not to mention his impact on the defensive side of the ball. These two will be looked at to lead the charge, while 2028 Landon Bethea and 2028 Jordan Jacobson will also bring a lot of value as well. Bethea looks to be that physical presence and looks to put relentless pressure on the defense. Jacobson stood out this summer with his play, showing the ability to be a creator and shot-maker from the perimeter.
Newcomers Looking to Be Impact Players:
When you talk about new names for this program and in speaking with the staff from the team, I will have my eyes on a freshman that should be a strong force on the court. 2030 Bryson Faulk-Warner, a 6’6 physical prospect, understands how to attack, get downhill, finish through contact, and just be a relentless presence on the court. I expect him to be a big presence as a freshman for this team. But then you look at two others in 2028 Jasiah Allen and 2028 Hector Garrido-Perez, two others that have shown the ability to be a presence on the court. Allen is a gritty guard that has a knack for attacking downhill, getting by defenders, and bringing a nice overall balance. Garrido-Perez has a strong frame that he uses to finish well inside but also shows potential in operating from other levels. But no matter what, he is able to bring value to the court for his team. These three will be huge for Burlington Christian Academy in rounding out what could be a strong yet balanced overall roster.
With key returners providing a proven foundation and newcomers like Faulk-Warner ready to make an early impact, Burlington Christian Academy has the pieces for a well-rounded, dangerous roster this season. If it all comes together, don’t be surprised if this team makes some serious noise in North Carolina.
