In one weekend, Phenom Hoops will officially begin our annual Hoopstate Fall League. Previously, games were hosted at Cox Mill and JD Lewis Center, but Rise Indoor Sports will also be added to the mix this year. Between three separate venues, kids from several different areas will have the opportunity to compete against other notable programs as they prepare for the upcoming high school season. Leading up to the preseason contests, we will preview some of the teams registered to attend—looking at North Lincoln.
After securing their most wins in over 20 years, the Knights have all the tools to be even better than before. The returning trio of Kellen Karr, Ty Sanders, and Ben Heavner accounted for over 50% of the team’s total scoring last season. Outside of two departed seniors, this roster should be largely the same. They found success during their playoff run before falling to Hickory (who fell to the eventual champions in Central Cabarrus). Expect the Knights to be one of the better programs across North Carolina.
