This weekend, Phenom Hoops will officially begin our annual Hoopstate Fall League. Previously, games were hosted at Cox Mill and JD Lewis Center, but Rise Indoor Sports will also be added to the mix this year. Between three separate venues, kids from several different areas will have the opportunity to compete against other notable programs as they prepare for the upcoming high school season. Leading up to the preseason contests, we will preview some of the teams registered to attend—looking at Enloe High School.
After somewhat of a rocky 2023-24 season, it’ll be interesting to see what the Eagles can do over these next few years. Not only did they graduate four of their six leading scorers, but another heavily involved piece also departed. That leaves Zarion Hobbs as the clear, undisputed leader and focal point of this team. On one hand, the structure should look totally different and it’s increasingly likely that several guys will take a step forward. However, it will be a challenge. Hobbs has shown his ability to run a team throughout the travel ball season, but he will need assistance. Despite their abundance of departed players, don’t be surprised if this group is capable of improving from last season.
