2027 Cale Curtis (Kulture)
This was our first viewing of Curtis on the Phenom Platform, coming down from Ohio this past weekend. But he caught our attention with his play and will be on our radar down the road. Curtis brings a strong blend of size, fluidity, and skill to the court, understanding how to operate from multiple levels. He was able to flourish around the basket as well as create off the bounce, but also grabbed our attention with his impact in stretching the court. Again, we just learned about him this weekend, but he looks like a prime “hidden gem” type player for college coaches.
2027 Thomas Bowes (Dub Salem)
Bowes is a very interesting prospect and one that I would for sure say is a hidden gem. You have heard a bit about him this summer on the Phenom Platform, and he continued to shine this past weekend. Bowes, who is a 6’5 prospect at Greensboro Day, was able to flourish in an array of ways. He was a strong scoring option, creating for himself, battling around defenders, using his size to get to the rim, and understands how to utilize his size to his advantage. He can score in several ways but also is one who sets the tone in other areas.
2026 Andre Gyabaah (Team Fly)
Gyabaah has been having a strong summer overall, not matter the setting or the team. Once again, he was able to produce and showcase how tough a matchup he can be on the court for his team. He has good size, physical frame, and can mix it up offensively to keep the defense guessing. He battles through defenders and scores well around the rim, backing them down and finishing, but also has no problem in stretching the court to show his perimeter game. Again, I think he could be a hidden-gem type prospect for a program.
2027 Justin Frye (Wildcats Elite)
Frye has been on the radar for quite some time now, and he is finally garnering the attention from college programs. He just earned an offer recently and I believe more could/should be looking his way and have him on their radar. He is a versatile prospect on the court with his size and athleticism, attacking and finishing at the rim, but also being an impact player in a variety of other areas on the court. Frye plays well within the offense but can also create opportunities for himself. I really like the value he brings to the court for his team.
2026 Owen Calvert (Dub Salem)
Calvert continues to be one of my favorite players to watch. You know what you are always going to get with his game: a competitor, a scrappy guard on both ends, and an effective scorer on the court. Calvert does a great job not only being a playmaker and helping run the offense, but his ability of scoring from multiple levels. He can knock down shots comfortably but also attack well off the bounce, looking to create and embrace contact. Calvert is a tough guard overall and one who brings consistency every time we watch him.
