Bridgeport Prep proved to be one of the more intriguing programs to watch at the Phenom Prep & Post Grad Nationals, showcasing several under-the-radar prospects that caught the attention of those in attendance. Throughout the event, the team displayed a strong combination of talent, energy, and versatility, with multiple players stepping up and making their presence felt in big moments. While some names may still be flying a bit under the radar, the performances at Phenom PG Nationals made it clear that Bridgeport Prep has several hidden gems that college coaches should begin taking a closer look at moving forward.

2026 6’10 Gideon Ekukwai
Ekukwai was one of the better bigs all throughout the event, and he should have D1 attention as a late snag for a program. What was noted quickly about his game, despite his size and strength/frame, Ekukwai moved extremely well and was quite nimble on the court. He was able to carve out space and finish with touch, showed strong hands on the glass to create extra opportunities, and ran the floor really well. Not only a paint protector on the defensive side of the ball, but he was also an effective scoring option who operates really well with his body.
2026 6’0 Amyre Gray
Gray was a 6’0 guard who really put on an impressive show in leading the offense. He was able to flourish with his speed and shiftiness, pushing well out in transition and attacking the defense, getting paint touches and finishing, and being a strong playmaker for his teammates. Not only understanding how to play with multiple paces, Gray was also able to shine well with his assertive nature by attacking out in the open floor and score in a variety of ways.
These two players really captured our eyes with their consistent play, but there were other notable names that we noted from this team. 2028 Curtis Marshall, a 6’5 small forward, was consistently a force in finishing strong. 2026 Amare Marshall brought solid versatility and impact in a variety of ways, whether it was knocking down shots, rebounding, or playing multiple positions. 2026 6’5 Nevion LeGree, finding ways to get to the rim, using his size well, and making a presence defensively as well.
