One program that continued to catch our attention throughout Phenom Hoops LIVE was Harvest Development Academy. Featuring a balanced mix of size, skill, and young talent with plenty of upside, this group consistently showed why it is a team worth following. Led by several intriguing prospects across multiple classes, Harvest Development Academy displayed versatility, toughness, and a high basketball IQ while giving college coaches and scouts plenty to evaluate. As the summer travel season winds down, this is a program that continues to trend in the right direction, with several players making strong cases to be names to remember heading into the high school season.
2029 Gradyn West
West continues to shine as a prospect to really watch in his class, especially with his blend of size, fluidity, athleticism, and overall impact. West, who stands at 6’4, flourishes inside and out with his ability to get to the rim, finish and create off the bounce, and also be just as effective in knocking down shots with a fluid release. West looks to be one of the top prospects in the state for his class, and his development will be intriguing to track.
2028 Grady Jordan
Jordan is a 6’7 forward who showed some promise and intrigue on the court. He moves well around the court, showing his ability to impact the game down in the paint and on the glass, but was comfortable in his ability to operate and stretch the floor as a big. Jordan is one many may not talk about but he could be a sneaky big to watch late this summer and heading into the season.
2028 Chris Phillips
Phillips brings such physicality as a guard, and he understands how to use that to his advantage but also plays with a good overall feel and IQ. Phillips attacks well in getting downhill, embracing and fighting through defenders but also being effective as an overall piece on the court. He brings true value to his team on both ends and will continue to do that this upcoming season.
2029 Eli Nelson
Nelson, another young guard for this team, plays with extreme confidence in helping run the show but also be a big threat from behind the arc. Nelson has excellent range in being able to stretch the court from behind the arc as well as being able to create and be a playmaker for his teammates. And when he continues to develop and get stronger, Nelson is one that will continue to be a key factor on the court.
And when watching this team throughout the weekend, there were others that were able to step up and make their presence felt. 2028 6’3 Jonathan Adams, 2027 Joseph De Guzman, 2029 Kaiden Wiggins, and 2028 Aaron Jessup fill out this roster for Harvest Development Academy, and they should be a team to monitor more as the summer comes to an end.
