We first watched Marcus Watson at the NC Junior Phenom camp last year. He was one of the best players in attendance and we stated, “Marcus has tremendous upside and potential and his combined athleticism and skill set separates him from his peers.
We were impressed with his decision-making and his overall basketball IQ. Without question, Marcus is a gifted player.” Fast forward to this past weekend and Marcus solidified his standing as an elite level player, but this event will be a springboard to his growing reputation.
In one game at the CP3 Rising Stars camp, Marcus enjoyed an offensive explosion. He went an impressive 16-21 from the field and finished with a game high 37 points. He was scoring from all levels and occasionally knocked down 3-pointers. In addition, he corralled eight rebounds for his Top 20 performance. Marcus has such a smooth and fluid pace to this game and believe it or not, the majority of his points all comes from the flow of the game.

At the recent Phenom CP3 Live event, Marcus also had to play up on the 17U team and played outstanding. He ended up being the leading scorer on the team. His game is growing and so his is reputation. He is on pace to be an elite level player and one that will demand interest from the ACC heavyweights.
