6’1 ’18 Ben Craig (Team Carolina Asheville)
6’1 ’18 Ben Craig (Team Carolina Asheville) enjoyed a solid sophomore season for Owen High School in Black Mountain, North Carolina. He averaged 14.2 PPG, 5.5 APG, 4.4 RPG, and 1.6 SPG. These are all outstanding numbers and the talented young point guard is still somewhat under the recruiting radar.
At the Grassroots TOC, Ben Craig once again stuffed the “stat sheet” as Team Carolina won 80-62 over Prep United. In this particular game, Craig had a game high 24 points including six 3-pointers. In addition to the outstanding 3-point shooting, Craig went a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.
With Craig, you have a high IQ player with strong fundamentals. He understands the game and provided leadership for Team Carolina from the lead guard position. While he lit up the scoreboard from the perimeter, Craig also impressed us with his court vision and passing ability. In addition, he is an effort and energy guy.
