The Dungeon City is a place where young athletes are made into ballers. This is a place where dreams meet reality through a ton of hard work, grit, and determination. The Dungeon has produced a whirlwind of ballers over the many years who go on to be successful at the next level. One name that is prevalent from the Dungeon is Day’Ron Sharpe, one of UNC’s best freshman rebounders and also one of the best rebounders in the country. Day’Ron was a product of the Dungeon along with countless other elite players from around the area.

6’6 Freshman Sam Newkirk is calling next! “He is just like Day’Ron was when he first came in, a long lengthy athlete. This kid reminds me of him in the way he works and wants to get better. He has the potential to be the next big star out of NC mark my word” said Dungeon owner Keith Mcklawhorn.
Sam is a super long kid with nice height and a high motor. His ability to defend and protect the rim is already shaping up to be at an elite level. His ability to finish around the rim and also hit the midrange jumper has shown glimpses of the elite level player he has the potential to be. He has great hands and rebounds the ball very well. He also showcases the ability to hit turnaround jumpers from midrange and in the post.
As a 6’6 freshman and growing, he has the real potential to be one of NC’s next big-time players. He is already beginning to be sought after by AAU programs from all over. Mark my words he will be a well-known name in NC very soon. Remember the name SAM NEWKIRK!
