Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Blane St. Clair
Class: 2021
Committed to: Army

What the Player Said:

Q: What made Army the place for you in the end? What were some of the deciding factors for you?

Clair: The ability to get a degree from a school with outstanding academics, elite leadership development, our team competing for championships, and my relationships with the coaches. The whole staff did everything they could to make me feel comfortable about going there and making the decision.

Q: What did the staff have to say when you told them? And what do they hope you can bring with your game?

Clair: The staff couldn’t have been more excited.  They like my scoring ability along with my size and athleticism at the wing position.  They play and shoot, which suits my game well.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“We’re talking about a young player that simply knows how to play the game. He has an excellent basketball IQ, plays within the framework of the game and can do all facets of the game.” – NC Phenom 150 Evaluation in 2018

“Smooth guard with touch and shooting ability, able to generate offense and scoring on all three levels decently well. He displayed a high motor and did a great job of outworking opponents as a defender.” – NC Phenom 150

“Been a while since seeing 2021 Blane St. Clair but was highly impressed. Great instincts on the boards, great hands, smooth shot, and was incredibly active on both ends of the floor. #PhenomHoops” – Patrick O’Brien
