Player: Gene Roebuck III
Class: 2027
Height: 6’4
School: La Mirada

Heading out west for our latest recruiting news, 2027 4-star prospect Gene Roebuck III has been catching the attention of many high-profile schools around the country.  A 6’4 prospect out of La Mirada, Roebuck has been considered a Top 50 player in the country by many outlets and had a big summer in showing more about his game. Playing for Arizona Unity, Roebuck was an effective scoring option throughout, as he had a chance to display his comfort in “playing off the ball and playing with other good players” more.

Well, it paid off, as his recruitment continues to take off.  Right now, he holds offers from Arizona State, UCLA, USC, USF, UNLV, TCU, High Point, California, Washington, Cincinnati, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, and most recently from Gonzaga. His most recent offer may be very interesting when talking to Roebuck about it, as he had high praise about the relationship he has developed with them and the overall program.

“They really are serious about me,” Roebuck said. “Probably the college that has been the most serious about me, and they want to get me ready to play as soon as possible. Gonzaga was one of my favorite schools. To have a coach be so invested in me; it’s a dream come true.”

Right now, he has no set dates as far as visits, but Gonzaga is for sure one of those programs Roebuck wants to check out, along with schools like Arizona, Texas, UCLA, and USC.

In regard to schools that have been expressing interest in his way, Virginia, Arizona, Texas, BYU, SMU, New Mexico, Tennessee, Illinois, and Utah all have reached out to him.
