At times, it is hard to see the future for players that are so young, especially for players that may have just wrapped up 8th grade. You don’t always know how they may continue to develop, if they are done growing, and so on. But when sitting on the sidelines at the Phenom G3 Showcase, you couldn’t help but be amazed at watching 2025 Q Williams with CP3/ Forsyth Country Day.
It was something special to watch this young point guard, that again is just finishing up 8th grade, operate on the court. Williams has a tremendous feel for the game, sees the floor incredibly well, and simply understands how to make plays on the court with the ball in his hands. Whether it was dissecting the defense out in transition, finishing through or around defenders, or making some incredible passes in finding the open teammate, Williams gave us a little bit of everything you would want in a point guard.
Just look what some of our scouts said that was baseline as well:
“Went over and took a glance at CP3 2025… Boy, 2025 Q Williams is incredibly fun to watch. Tough to find a player at his age with his feel, instincts, and vision on the floor. He was cookin!” – Patrick O’Brien
“It’s hard not to love the way 2025 Q Williams sees the court. High basketball IQ. Players should really like playing with him.” – Tyler Lewis
“Q Williams of CP3 2025 has such a high IQ. His ability to operate in the pick and roll and consistently create offense for himself and his teammates have been outstanding! He reminds me of a young Darnell Rodgers type of player.” – Khalil Shakir
“Not many young players have such a great feel for the game at the PG position like CP3’s Q Williams (2025). Does a great job facilitating & getting great shots for his teammates.” – Colby Lewis
His blend of footwork, strength, craftiness, IQ, and playmaking ability is something special and fun to watch, which is why schools are already coming his way. North Carolina A&T is the first to offer the young guard but more schools will and should be coming his way as their future floor general.
