Myers Park vs. Hickory Ridge (Girls)
We kicked off the game here at the George Lynch Invitational, as Myers Park and Hickory Ridge got things going. Hickory Ridge came out strong, jumping out to a double-digit lead, eventually leading 13-2. They were able to maintain that lead heading into halftime, leading 24-15 led by 2025 Amaya Leathers. Myers Park though continued to fight, led by 2027 Amani Barner who finished with 16pts in the game. They were able to get it down to as little as three, but couldn’t finish off the comeback, as Hickory Ridge secured the hard-fought win.

1of1 Prep vs. Gray Collegiate
In the Aux Gym, it was 1of1 and Gray Collegiate going to battle. 1of1 was able to jump out early and showcase its offensive capabilities, leading 20-12 at the end of the first and only building on that heading into halftime, leading 50-34. Gray Collegiate was led by 2025 LJ Britt and strong guard play, but 1of1 Prep was just too much on the offensive end, attacking in transition and scoring in a variety of ways. LJ Rush led the charge with 21 points, while Jack Sorrell had 18 and Jeremiah Jackson had 17pts,

Providence Day vs. The Burlington School
Moving on in the night, TBS and Providence Day went to battle in what looked to be a thriller. It was a tight battle throughout the first half, with Providence Day jumping out to the lead by halftime 31-25. 2025 Nick Hailey looked strong early on, while 2025 Cam Flippen and company continued to battle. TBS continued to grind it out and stay within striking distance, giving them a chance in the end. 2025 Trajan Thompson and 2025 Jonah Lawrence displayed a strong attack, but TBS was able to take advantage of the game late, led by 2025 Kaden Hammond, 2027 King Gibson, and 2025 Cam Flippen. It came down to the end, and Hammond was able to seal the deal.

Davidson Day vs. WS Christian
Back in the Aux gym, we had a heavy-weight game between Davidson Day and Winston-Salem Christian, two teams that brought strong talent to the court. It was a close battle at the end of the first quarter, with Davidson Day taking the slight lead 20-16. But neither team was able to break away from each other, with Winston-Salem Christian holding the 38-37 lead at halftime. WS Christian was able to maintain that lead in the third quarter and eventually was able to create enough space to secure a big win, 76-68. 2025 Isaiah Denis did all he could so, finishing with 22 points while Lincoln Vinson finished with 18 points. But it was the balanced play of Tyson Thompson, Adriel Nyorha, and others for WS Christian that helped secure the win.

Combine Academy vs. Christ School
Final game of the night, two title contenders went at it between Combine Academy and Christ School, as both teams looked to trade blows. Combine came out strong early on with its guard play but Christ School was able to pick up on the defensive end as well as offensively, as 2025 Zymciah Wilkins and 2026 Dacen Petty led the way. Christ School led 38-31 at halftime, but this was looking to be a close game all throughout. In the third, Combine Academy was able to cut the lead to 47-45 at the end of three, as we started to head into crunch time. Christ School was able to maintain its narrow lead, as they patiently operated offensively. Combine tried their best to retain the lead but Christ School got it done on both ends in the end.
