2020 6'3 Guard Derrick Butler 17U' Team Knicks

Strong combo guard, has a tight handle and uses his athleticism to get in the paint and finish over bigs. More of a set shooter, with time and space he is capable of knocking down a jumper but it don't seem like his strong suit at this point. His slashing ability is what separates him from other players, he goes strong to the rim often jump stopping in the lane before taking off. He also possesses the ability to set his teammates up. After getting In the paint he sees lanes for drop off passes.

2020 6'0 Point Guard Landon Johnson 17U Spectrum Ron Clay'

Johnson knocked 7 threes in their matchup with NC Spartans, I was impressed with his ability to make shots off the dribble. A couple of his long balls came in transition. In the second half he was oozing with confidence, finishing the ball game with 29 points. His shot making created many opportunities and driving lanes for his teammates because the defense did not want to help off of him.'

I have to show this kid some love! He came off the bench firing on all cylinders for the Riptide. He knocked down 7 triples today that had the bench and crowd in a frenzy. He started off 6 for 6 from deep, shooting from well behind the line. It was great to see, the energy his performance brought to the gym was the highlight of my day.

2020 6'2 Point Guard Nishawn Hodge 17U PSB Elite Brim

Hodge is a strong steady point guard for PSB, he is always in control and plays at his own pace. He is a very solid defender, he rebounds, and he takes care of the ball. I enjoy watching him because he doesn't force the issue, he is aggressive when it is time to score but he lets the game come to him. Hodge has maturity to his game, he is the type of Guard coaches love to have because they can trust him.'
