Summer Creek high school down in Texas has had a strong season, as they sit with 25 wins on the season and they have a young sophomore that should be grabbing more attention. 2025 6’5 Bryson Wheatfall has been helping lead the charge and really showcasing his impact on the court. His recruitment is just starting but Wheatfall received his first offer recently, a big one from the Big 12. He talks about that, we learn about his game, and who else is showing interest his way.

Phenom: How has everything been going this season for you and your team'
Wheatfall: Things are good so far. It took us some time to find our chemistry but we are coming together at the right time I think. For me, I’m feeling good. Just have to continue to let the work I put in off the floor show on the floor.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game as a player' Anyone you like to model your game after' And what areas are you looking to continue to improve in'
Wheatfall: I describe my game as a big guard who can do some of everything on the floor and is great at creating mismatches for either me or my teammates. I don’t really model my game after anybody in particular. I take different parts of other people’s games and add them to my game. I think I can continue to improve on becoming a better leader and constantly work on every part of my game.

Phenom: Just received your first offer from TCU. What are your thoughts coming from that program'
Wheatfall: TCU s in the Big 12, one of the best conferences in the country.  It means a lot that they saw something in me and offered me an opportunity to play at their school.  The first is always special; it pushes me to go even harder and reinforces that my dedication and commitment to my craft is not going unnoticed.

Phenom: What is that feeling like getting that first offer from such a big school'
Wheatfall: It is just a great feeling knowing all my hard work isn’t going unnoticed, it is just the beginning.

Phenom: Do you know what other schools have been showing interest your way'
Wheatfall: Creighton, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, and Arkansas.
