2027 6’5 Connor May (Eastern Carolina Phenomz)
May is coming off an impressive high school season at Swansboro, averaging nearly 18ppg and 7 rebounds per game. He was able to showcase that same firepower and impact on the court this past weekend, as the 6’5 prospect brings versatility as a scorer both inside and out, finds ways to get to the line, and proves to fill up the statsheet overall. Though out East, May is one that provides a lot on the court and stepped up for his team.
2028 6’6 Ethan Ofori (CC Elite)
Programs are always looking for young bigs and though it may take longer for a few, Ofori is one I would keep a strong eye on as he continues to develop. He quickly can grab your attention with his football-like frame, bringing physicality and strength down low. Ofori finishes well through contact, understands how to carve out space down in the paint, and is a big that doesn’t need to be the focal point to bring production, as he brings activity on the glass, plays well within the offense, and defends well.
2028 6’6 Nyshawn Hughes (Grind Hoops)
Hughes is one who has done a great job to start this spring and summer, and he should be garnering more attention with the production he plays with. He brings energy and a strong motor, along with a good frame at 6’6. Hughes excels in attacking downhill and getting to the rim, whether it is in the halfcourt or out in transition. But he is comfortable in being a presence in a variety of other areas and thriving as a physical piece on the court. He may not always get the praise, but he brings production and energy every time he steps on the floor.
2027 6’4 Mac Habenicht (HABS Hoops)
Habenicht is a steady and impactful presence with his size and feel for the game. A big guard, he brings versatility on both ends, making his mark inside and out while also contributing on the glass defensively. Habenicht shows comfort operating both on and off the ball, doing a great job getting to his spots and keeping the offense flowing with unselfish decision-making. His combination of size, composure, and overall feel makes him a reliable leader and a prospect that continues to trend in the right direction.
2027 6’4 Braylon Curry (HYAA Gray)
Curry is an intriguing 6’4 prospect who brings length and athleticism to the floor, making him a tough matchup for opponents. He thrives when attacking the basket, using his explosiveness to get downhill and finish effectively around the rim. Curry shows flashes of being a high-upside player, as he creates pressure on defense and converts with authority. With his physical tools and aggressive approach, he’s certainly a name worth keeping an eye on in the 2027 class.
