The LIVE Period is upon us, and Phenom Hoops has a big weekend at two separate locations, with one being down in Rock Hill, SC. We are looking to highlight teams that college coaches will and should be looking at throughout the weekend, though plenty of other teams and players will stand out throughout the event. Here are just a few teams that college coaches will want to watch down in South Carolina.
Palmetto Pride 16u
Looking a bit more down in South Carolina, college coaches will want to check out Palmetto Pride a bit, as they have been a strong organization over the years. There are plenty of prospects in the Class of 2028 to get an early look at, especially a player like 2028 6’6 Lamont Williams. Williams has been strong all summer long with his production and versatility, but this is a group that offers a wide variety of talent and new names to watch from SC.
Team Pittman 2028
This will be a must-see team throughout the event, especially with the head horses of 2028 Draeton Nance and 2028 Noah Dulin. Both bring a physical and competitive nature to the court with their style of play, with Nance running the show and being a strong point guard, and Dulin bringing athleticism and production. But again, this is a team that has other weapons for college coaches to learn about including 2028 LJ Wall, 2028 Ayden Barrett, and others that make up one of the top teams in the region.
Top Shot UA Grind CLT
If you are looking for a team that college coaches will jot down and make sure to watch, Top Shot UA Grind CLT would be one of the teams that you see on that list. 2027 Jeremiah Jones-Franklin, 2027 John Stokes, 2027 Judah King, 2027 Collin McConneyhead, and others all make up one of the top rosters at the event that D1s and D2s will want to look at more. I expect this team to be one of the premier teams that college coaches will want to watch, as the baselines should be full with this team.
