Connor Crabtree has been a name in the state of North Carolina that has slowly been gaining praise for his play on the court, which could translate into more offers down the road.

Crabtree is a 6’6 junior that plays at Orange high school in North Carolina and is coming off an excellent season in which he led his team in scoring with 23.7 points per game, 6.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals as the Panthers finished with an 17-9 record.

The talented prospect also recently competed at the NC Top 80, an event that brought some of the top talent from the state to one place. It was a great honor for the him, as it showed where he stands among the best.

“I really enjoyed it because I was able to play against and with many other good players,” he replied. “It showed me that I can compete against the top players in the state.”

Several others came away impressed as well with his play and think that Connor could be a significant pick up for several programs.

Rivals Analyst Clint Jackson had this to say about him:

“Like 6’6 junior Connor Crabtree. Lengthy ball handler, creator, shooter, and will dunk on you. Mid-major prospect.”

Marcus Shockley from Netcast was also impressed, saying:

“Connor Crabtree (G/F, 6’5, 2017) Orange HS (NC) – excellent college prospect from the wing, scorer, dfender, athletic. Impressive at Top 80.”

A few programs have already offered Crabtree (Lehigh and Lees McRae), but he informed us that several others have shown stron interest his way as well.

“The people recruiting the hardest right now are Appalachian State, High Point, Elon, William and Mary, and American University,” he said. “Lehigh and Lees McCrae have offered. Lehigh has been saying that they need some guards to come in and help with scoring and Lees McRae has not been talking with me as much since the Lehigh offer but they want me to come play with my older brother Keegan.”

The programs that have shown strong interest could be the next ones in line with an offer, as they will be in on the road to watch Crabtree play this summer with WCBA (Blue).

He along with all his teammates on the WCBA (Blue) will be at several Phenom events this summer, as he will certainly be a name that programs will watch for.

Continue to monitor Crabtree this summer with Phenom Hoops and all prospects, as we will provide more updates throughout the year.
