Don’t expect a drop-off from Christ School anytime soon. Despite graduating key pieces from last year’s squad, the Greenies are once again gearing up for a state title run—and early signs point to another championship-caliber group taking shape. With a mix of returning leadership and new additions, Christ School looks to have reloaded, not rebuilt, and they’ll enter the season with their eyes firmly set on reclaiming their spot at the top of the NCISAA. The tradition of excellence is alive and well in Arden. Let’s dive into their roster early on.

2028 Micah Goodlow
2027 Caleb Nixon
2027 Trevor Manhertz
2026 Dacen Petty
2026 Tyler Jones
2027 Thomas Vickery
2027 Koen Booker
2026 Drew Hykin
2026 Jayden White
2029 BJ Houston
2028 Hudson Hatch
2027 Dylan Twitty
2026 Will Robinson

When you talk about this roster, you have to start with the two leaders returning from last year’s championship run in 2026 Dacen Petty and 2026 Tyler Jones. Both are 6’4 guards that understood what was needed from them last year, with Petty being a strong scoring option and Jones does what is needed for his team. Both have shown that they can be strong offensive options for this team. Then you look at players that are returning and could be seeing more minutes; 2027 Thomas Vickery has exploded this season and he could be a breakout-type player. Athletic, size, and a multi-level scorer as he will be a huge piece this year. 2027 Koen Booker is a strong and physical 6’6 prospect that can be used in a variety of areas and ways, and I expect him to see more minutes this season. 2026 6’8 Will Robinson will continue to be a bruising big downlow to help take the place of Zymicah Wilkins.

Now, you dive into some of the new names that will be coming in. Goodlow, a 2028 downhill guard, will be a new name in North Carolina, and though he is young, he should be a key piece for this team. 2027 Trevor Manhertz is a huge addition with his 6’8 frame, shot-making, and blossoming skill set; he is one that could rise QUICKLY up the rankings. 2027 Caleb Nixon is back on the court and will be a threat with his frame and shot-making from deep, as he is another breakout-type player this upcoming season. And finally, speaking of replacing Wilkins, 2027 Dylan Twitty should be an absolute force for this team, especially with his big frame, his strength down in the paint, and his relentlessness on the glass.

Last year, Christ School ended the year ranked No. 19 in the country by MaxPreps, and even though there are plenty of new names, the Greenies could be right back in the national spotlight again this year.
