Gaston Christian vs. The Burlington School – 3:00 pm
Two teams that have high expectations kick off the season and Day 2 in style. Gaston Christian, led by its leader in 2026 Cameron Newman, has looked strong under Coach Duhon and return several familiar names this season. They will have strong guard play and can get it done on both sides of the ball. But they will have their hands full with The Burlington School, as 2027 Geren Holmes and company will also be bringing a ton of firepower. 2026 Drew Johnson, 2027 Karon Watlington, 2027 Kamari Nicholson… all names that can produce and bring a balanced attack.
Queens Grant vs. Forsyth Country Day – 4:30 pm
Queens Grant, after going up against Combine Academy on Day 1, will return to action on Day 2 against a program that will be in the discussion as one of the top teams in the state. 2028 Chase Smith and 2028 Mekhi Allen will be the headliners, but this is a balanced and talented group. But they will have their hands full against FCDS, as we had a chance to watch them at the Jamboree and they look hungry for a title. Led by 2026 Q Williams and guard play, this is a balanced team, has size, tough guards, and can get it done on both sides of the ball.
Concord Academy vs. Combine Academy – 6:00 pm
Speaking of coming back, Combine Academy will be back in action on Day 2 and will go against one of the toughest programs in North Carolina in Concord Academy. Each year, Coach Cantadore brings in new talent and names that you will be hearing about, and this year will be no exception. They will have skilled size, dynamic guards, and experience throughout going up against Combine Academy, with 2026 Yohance Connor looking to make another statement on Day 2.
Carmel Christian vs. Greensboro Day – 7:30 pm
To wrap up an exciting weekend of basketball, Carmel Christian is back in action at home against one of the premier programs in the state, Greensboro Day. Carmel will once again be loud and full of energy, with 2026 Logan Johnson, 2026 Jordan Buzzard, 2026 James Wood, and others are looking to take down one of the top teams in the state. The Bengals, led by Freddy Johnson, bring in one of the most talented teams around with experienced guards, great size, shot-making, and versatility all over the court. This has a chance to be the best game of the weekend!
