2027 6’5 King Gibson, a prospect who first started out playing in North Carolina before heading to Spire, announced that he would be focusing on 10 schools, along with visits coming up in the next two months.
Gibson is a very familiar face to the scouts at Phenom Hoops and with people around North Carolina, playing at The Burlington School before making the move to Spire. During his time here in North Carolina, Gibson was one of the top prospects in the state with his play, and it was easy to see.
Gibson continues to be an exciting and highly skilled prospect who can take over games in multiple ways. He is a strong creator and three-level scorer who consistently generates quality offense for himself and others. Beyond his scoring ability, Gibson displays excellent vision, makes high-IQ decisions, and understands how to involve his teammates as a playmaker. Gibson made waves on Thursday night as it was announced that he was down to 10 schools. Louisville, UConn, Arkansas, LSU, Baylor, Michigan, Alabama, Illinois, Providence, and Syracuse all found themselves on the list, giving these programs a chance to land one of the premier guards in the country. It was also announced that Gibson has some upcoming official visits.
