Continuing to highlight teams and players from the Phenom Team Camp, we now shift our focus to the Goldsboro area, as the Warriors of Eastern Wayne came to compete and introduce us to a few new names. Eastern Wayne is coming off a strong season in which they finished 19-9 overall and 11-3 in conference play, and though they will be missing a few key seniors from last season, there are plenty of juniors who look to carry the load and keep the expectations high this coming season.
We start with the play of 6’7 Levi Evans, a lengthy forward who is continuing to develop but creates a tough matchup with his size, wingspan, and ability to impact the game in the paint. Then, you talk about a few strong guards that finished averaging double-figures last season in Banks and Evans; they should easily be able to do much of the same, if not more, to lead the way this season.
