At the Phenom MDC, a team that was able to walk away with a championship was the 704 Soldierz as they were led by a strong dynamic duo. 2024 Da’Mori Lytch (already committed) and 2025 Elijah Mobley both had impressive weekends in filling it up. Both were averaging over 20ppg and led the charge game after game, as we break down a little bit more of what we saw.
2024 6’6 DaMori Lytch (QEA) – Committed to Walters State
Lytch was strong all throughout the event, and he continues to thrive with his motor and physical attributes. The 6’6 prospect who is committed to Walters State has a strong blend of physicality, athleticism, motor, and skillset. Since watching him at our camp, you simply know what you will get out of Lytch on the court, as he outworks his opponents, plays hard on both sides, does what is needed for his team, finishes strong around the basket, and is showing more of his ability to operate from multiple levels. He was consistently posting 20+ point showings and had several impressive highlights throughout the event, and one could say Walters State got a nice steal coming its way.
2025 6’3 Elijah Mobley (QEA)
Mobley was the other part of the strong duo at the Phenom MDC, as he continues to fly a bit under the radar but continues to produce in a variety of ways. He is able to flourish in an array of ways on the court, using his 6’3 frame to his advantage, understands how to mix it up nicely with his ability to be a playmaker for himself or for others, and shows that he can be an effective scorer and shotmaker on and off the ball. He averaged nearly 20 points per game at the event and mixed it up well. Mobley is able to bring versatility to the court and is comfortable from an array of levels as a scorer.
