Player: Levi Ball
Class: 2026
School: Gray Collegiate Academy
AAU: Middleton Hoops

One of the biggest stockrisers down in South Carolina this past year has been 2026 Levi Ball, a 6’6 prospect that has performed extremely well for Middleton Hoops and has shown more of his overall impact on the court.  He brings good versatility on both sides of the court, flourishing from multiple levels and bringing a solid blend of size as well as athleticism.

Over the last few months, Ball has been a target for many, racking up offers from Marshall, The Citadel, Navy, Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, Northeastern, and North Florida.  He has been making progress with his recruitment, making visits and talking to multiple staff. Could he be on the verge of deciding? We talked to him about the latest.

Phenom: How was your visit to Marshall recently?

Ball: They talked to me about their fast play style that likes to shoot threes. They talked about how they think I would thrive in that system and also they said they are big on crashing the offensive boards, which is another strong suit of mine.

Phenom: What kind of relationship have you built with them?

Ball: I have been able to build a great relationship with them, especially with Coach Jackson. He has put a lot of effort into making it that way, which I appreciate.

Phenom: What other visits have you made or will you make?

Ball: I visited North Florida three weeks ago (where he received an offer), and visiting Kennesaw State this weekend (Sept 20).

Phenom: Would you say those are the three schools recruiting you the hardest?

Ball: I turned down some official visits at other places because these are my top 3, and we have spent a lot of time building relationships.

Phenom: When might you be looking to decide?

Ball: I am going on my last visit and then hopefully soon after that.

What Has Been Said:

“Another player that may have had the biggest summer from South Carolina in the class is 2026 6’6 Levi Ball from Middleton Hoops. Racking up multiple D1 offers this summer, he was able to flourish in a variety of settings and certainly gained the attention of many. He offers a rugged, high-energy approach on the court with a good blend of toughness and versatility. Ball can create issues defensively, battles on the glass well with his size and athleticism, can finish strong around the basket or space the floor, and really shows a polished overall feel with a college-ready frame. Ball impacts the game on both sides well, something that college coaches noticed all summer long.”

“Ball is another prospect that gave you plenty of wow moments, as the versatile forward found ways to impact the game on both ends. He is able to create with his mid-range game as well as finish at the rim, showing a polished overall feel with a college-ready frame. Defensively though, he surprised me on several occasions with his athleticism in being able to alter or block shots as well.”

“There were a lot of guys who should be targets for college coaches this summer, and that certainly includes Ball. He’s a versatile forward who plays with nonstop energy and a rugged, blue-collar mentality. Ball is a reliable shooter and finisher with the ability to post up, space the floor, or attack off the bounce. He’s a terrific rebounder, scrappy defender, and offers useful versatility on offense.”
