Phenom puts on a ton of events every year but few hold as warm a spot in our hearts as the David Rose MDC. Part of this event goes to help the Wounded Warrior Project so that means we get great ball for a great cause. As a vet myself, I am very appreciative of what Phenom does with this event so it is always an honor to be in for this event. If you missed out on the talent in the gym this weekend don't worry, we got you covered. Some of the names and games to know from day 2 of this event are as follows:

Trey Belin, 6'3 2019 G with PSB Mcdonald 17u'' Wing with good size can hit from deep when given a look. Has enough size/strength to drive and finish as needed but looks most comfortable spotting up outside the arch. Physical tools are here for him to be more than just a shooter as he proved in spurts with his play. Challenge for him is to show that more complete game more consistently going forward and utilize the skill sets he has better. As is, he just disappeared for too many stretches of play for a player with his abilities.

Kojack Thompson, 5'10 2019 G with PSB Mcdonald 17u ''For one, he has an all-world name so you know when we see it we are looking for toughness. Lets just same kids game lives up to his name. Gritty Player keeps coming at you start to finish and that high motor of his usually brings with it quality results. He is undersized and is more of a combo player but kid plays with heart and fire and finds ways to get the job done. Always fun to watch him work.

Webster Filmore, 6'6 2018 F with Charlotte Nets 17u'' Senior playing in this event trying to catch the attention our platform provides did just that. Not the high end skill set or motor here but is the type of athlete that can be productive at the next level in the right system and at the right level. He runs the floor well, can finish at the rim, and will do his part on the glass. Some ceiling here to be had but will need to be patient with him to bring out his best ball we think.

Noah Allen 5'10 2019 G with Charlotte Nets'' We love guys with high motors that will compete so it is no wonder Noah caught our eye. He went head to head with Kojack all game long as both refused to give an inch on the floor. Noah has good handles, a quick first step, and more bounce than you'd expect for his size. He was solid in all phases of the game in this one and made good decisions through the game. May be undersized but kids like this who play as hard as he does are kids we will take into battle every time out.

Cole Madeira, 6'4 2019 W with PSB Mcdonald 17u'' The PSB program always seems to have length and skill at every position and Cole fits that mold. He came off the bench in this one and instantly made an impact. He hit 2 3's and a 2 on his way to 8 points in the half while hitting the glass hard and giving good effort on D. He is not a lock down defender but the effort is there, but he could stand to improve in this area. Shot selection was generally good but will take a bad one now and then. Overall this is type of kid that will serve as a glue guy for his team while providing spacing from the outside. Could stand to tighten up his game but the tools are here to work with.
