Demetric Horton is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on in North Carolina and fans can see him first at the CP3 Live event in Winston-Salem this coming weekend.
Horton was one of the breakout players earlier in the year at the David Rose MDC, where each person on the Phenom Hoop staff came away impressed with the 2018 prospect. Back at the event, Horton averaged double figures, scoring over 15 points per game and also had 9.8 rebounds per game as well.
Now Horton and WCBA-Stevens 2018 will be center stage at the CP3 Live event and it will be a chance to see one player that could be a breakout prospect in the state of North Carolina.
Phenom Hoops analyst Rick Lewis had this to say about Horton earlier in the year:
“Horton is a jack-of-all-trades. He’s a blue-collar workhorse that gets the job done on both ends of the court. He has excellent length and athleticism and plays with a high motor. We really feel Horton has a huge upside and could be a surprise player in the 2018 class.”
Even his AAU coach, Nick Stevens, thinks highly of this young man’s talent.
“Horton may have the highest ceiling of anyone on the team. He carries great size with good instincts. He makes plays happen around the rim, but also has guard skills with the ball in his hands. He has great range.”
Make sure to check out Horton, among several other prospects at the CP3 Live Event in Winston-Salem in front of several college coaches.
