Highlighting players from around the state, one of the top incoming freshmen to watch this season in North Carolina will be 2030 Heavenly Craig. A young guard who has already introduced herself to many, Craig has a chance to solidify herself even more as one, if not the, top player in the Class of 2030 early on.
She has an excellent feel for the game at her age, as she clearly understands how to navigate on the court, creating for herself and others, and being an effective three-level scorer. Craig plays with an excellent burst of speed, creating well and breaking down defenders, displaying strong vision and feel, and being a leader on the court. Craig plays well beyond her years, and she is just starting her story at the high school level. Watching her over the years, it has been clear that Craig has a chance to be one of the premier talents in the freshman class, and her recruitment will continue to take off.
Recruitment:
Though Craig is a young prospect, she is already catching the eyes of many college programs that are ready to offer, and that won’t slow down any time soon. She recently added another offer from High Point, along with offers from Appalachian State, Winthrop, Florida, and North Carolina A&T already. Again though, this is just the start of her recruitment, and we fully expect that list to grow fast.

“Offensively, Craig’s handle is a major weapon. She navigates through traffic with confidence, keeps defenders on her hip, and has the ability to create space off the bounce. Whether using hesitation moves, change-of-direction dribbles, or quick bursts, she consistently breaks down defenders. Her shot looks smooth and repeatable, allowing her to be a threat from the perimeter and forcing defenders to respect her scoring ability. Beyond just scoring, Craig embraces the role of playmaker. She sees the floor well for a young guard and delivers passes in rhythm, setting up teammates for clean looks. Her ability to create for herself and others makes her difficult to scheme against, as she can shift from scorer to facilitator seamlessly.”
