Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.
Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Terence Harcum
Class: 2021
Committed to: Appalachian State
What the Player Said:
Q: What made Appalachian State the place for you in the end?
Harcum: I really liked what Coach Kerns and his staff are doing in Boone and I wanted to be a part of it.
Q: What did you tell them when you informed them?
Harcum: I told them that what you guys are building up there, I would like to be a part of it.
Q: How do they think you will fit in their program?
Harcum: They think that I’m a great fit, they believe that I can come in and provide my scoring playmaking and my defense.
Q: For App State fans, how would you best describe your game in your own?
Harcum: I would say I can do a little bit of everything. I can score from all three levels, I can create for my teammates, and I can defend.
Q: What will your focus be on now with your game with the decision behind you?
Harcum: Just sharpening my skills and becoming a smarter basketball player.
What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:
“Harcum is a do it all point guard, capable of setting up teammates or scoring in bunches. He has excellent IQ and anticipation, also with the ability to really shoot the ball or thread a needle. He is trending as one of the top point guards in North Carolina’s 2021 class.”
“There is so much to like with the way Harcum handles his business. He’s a mild-mannered kid that plays the game with a high level of intensity and focus. He’s the kind of kid that has a legitimate shot for him to average 25+ points per game next year and should pick up D1 attention in the process. He’s a joy to watch with his ability to score while also never forcing the issue.”
